| DCW today chaired a one-day ‘Reflections Event’ at Church House in London, on Defra’s draft Waste and Resources Evidence Strategy up to 2011. The strategy is intended to provide the evidence to underpin future policy needs, particularly for the implementation of the new Waste Strategy for England 2007.
The event was attended by 100 stakeholders from across the UK. Breakout sessions focused on developing specific project ideas to be considered for inclusion in the 2008 Action Plan. DCW chairs the Waste and Resources Research Advisory Group, which advises Defra on the Waste and Resources Evidence Programme. |
